Jaipur District is a district of the state of Rajasthan in Northern India. The city of Jaipur, which is Rajasthan's capital and largest city, is the district headquarters. It is the tenth most populous district in India. Jaipur is a popular tourist destination in India and serves as a gateway to other tourist destinations in Rajasthan such as Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur and Mount Abu. Jaipur is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Jantar Mantar and the Amer Fort.
